Description
This well known painting originally by the French artist Léon Bonnat was painted in 1875. It is an incredibly memorable painting and has been copied many times. This very well executed oil on canvas copy, painted at the end of the 19th century is very well done by a very skilled hand and is much more impressive in person than in the photos. Very large in size and in a beautiful and ornate original gilded Victorian frame. In this painting a young, barefoot Roman girl leans over a cement fountain to take a drink of water.
Truly a outstanding work of art.
